If you have a poor credit history, you may find that it has both material and psychological repercussions for you. People are aware of the fact that it may be difficult to secure a loan from a bank or credit union when there are delays in the payment of debts or bills, and they prepare themselves accordingly. Traditional and internet direct lenders may provide consumers with poor credit access to secured personal loans that they can repay with collateral. However, not every applicant is in possession of a substantial asset that can be used as collateral for loans made by lenders to borrowers with poor credit. Do not be surprised if you can connect to this. There are still some options available to you, regardless of how poor your credit score may be, and you should consider all of them.
GreenDayOnline provides guaranteed loans to those with bad credit. This loan service provides you with immediate access to money, and, there are only a few basic requirements to meet in order to qualify. If you are in need of an emergency loan but are concerned about your credit history, you should apply at GreenDayOnline.
A bad credit loan with an approval guarantee is a form of loan that provides applicants with low credit scores with a high acceptance rate for the loan type. A loan like this could have a payback term that is extremely short (like that of a payday loan), or it could have a duration that lasts for up to twenty-four months (an installment loan). Loans for those with poor credit have earned a well-deserved reputation for being easily accessible. Even if you have a low income and bad credit, it is often not difficult to get one of these loans.
The vast majority of direct lenders are willing to extend loans to applicants without first looking into their credit history. It makes it possible for those who are striving toward financial recovery to get assistance without having their progress reversed. The standards for qualification for these loans are frequently not overly complicated. However, the interest rates on loans for people with poor credit are always higher than the rates on traditional loans. When it comes to payday loans, the typical APR can go as high as 400%, but with installment loans, it can range anywhere from 16% to 100%.
In essence, the goal of online lenders is to facilitate speedy financial transfers. Your money will often be sent to you within one working day. When you apply, the day of the week, how soon your loan will be validated, and a number of other criteria will determine the specific timing of events.
Payday loans are a form of short-term borrowing that can be utilized to make up for any unexpected expenses or financial difficulties. When it comes to loans for unexpected expenses, there are no restrictions placed on how the money can be put to use. People take out payday loans for a variety of reasons; some use the money to pay for day-to-day expenses, while others use the money to take care of unexpected expenses. These are the most common reasons given for taking out a cash advance or payday loan:
In contrast to loans from banks and credit unions, anyone with any credit rating can apply for loans for people with bad credit that come with a guarantee of acceptance. The borrower’s income, rather than their credit score, is typically the primary consideration for online lenders. Therefore, if you have a poor credit score, you are still able to apply and obtain the assistance you require up until the time that you fulfill all of the criteria that a particular lender has established for qualifying, even though you may have a low credit score.
The best loans for those with bad credit histories have terms that are flexible, interest rates that are reasonable, and enough loan amounts. But everything hinges on what it is that you require at this very moment. It is important to consider all of your available financial choices before settling on the best one. Pay particular attention to the history of the lender, the interest rates, any additional fees, the conditions of the loan, and the amount of the monthly payment.
There is a large number of financial institutions that provide borrowers with poor credit access to short-term loans. It’s possible that the institution at fault is a bank, credit union, online lender, connecting service, or even a pawn shop. Think about submitting an application for a bad credit loan to one of the companies that were mentioned above, or search for a local lender in your area who can meet all of your requirements.
]]>The magazine’s recent editorial features 50 “locally loved quick-service restaurants across America”, as writers David Landsel and Andy Yang set out to find the best regional favorites in the United States.
“Here’s what we were looking for in a fast food restaurant, as we ate across the country: at least a handful of locations and more, mostly in their home country,” they wrote. “…All had to have both counter service and a robust take-out program, ideally drive-thru. Fully seated restaurants were not eligible. Most important of all – did we like the food?”
Nardelli’s, they write, “has figured out how to extend the [Italian grinder] without sacrificing the soul of the real deal.”
“There are so many options, but you’ll start with the Italian combo, stuffed with prosciuttini – pruzitini, if you speak the local dialect – and cappy ham, salami, provolone and a mix of vegetables marinated in olive oil. olive, vinegar and spices.”
Nardelli’s celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Brothers Giuseppe, Antonio and Frederico Nardelli came to America from Italy in 1914, and eight years later opened the Nardelli grocery store in Waterbury, according to the company’s website.
“They were amazed at how well the grinders were selling. Soon people were coming from all over Waterbury to get a grinder,” the website notes. “Some days the line snaked up to South Main Street. It was obvious the brothers had created the perfect balance of ‘overstuffed’ ingredients and attractive prices. A combination chopper made from a quarter loaf cost 10 cents, a 1/2 loaf is 15 cents and a whole loaf is 30 cents.”
A century later, Nardelli is now has locations all over Connecticutincluding two in his home town of Waterbury and others in Cromwell, Danbury, East Hartford, Farmington, Meriden, Middletown, Milford, Naugatuck, norwalkOxford, Southbury, Southington, Torrington and Wallingford.
The chain also plans to open further north and east, with restaurants planned for Enfield and East Lyme. Its first out-of-state location, in Sturbridge, Mass., is listed as “coming soon in 2022” on its website.
The grinder shop offers a wide variety of hot and cold grinders, with its signature Italian best-selling combo, and other favorites like chicken cutlet, hot pepper chicken prosciutto, eggplant and meatballs. Parmigiana meat and the steak and shaved cheese. Restaurants have also started offering plant-based meats and other vegan options.
Nardelli’s is a regular winner of “Best Grinder” in Connecticut Magazine’s Best of Connecticut Reader Pollsand Hearst Connecticut Media readers chose it as one of Connecticut’s Favorite Regional Restaurant Chains in July (although the highest honor goes to Duchesswhich has 13 fast food restaurants in New Haven and Fairfield counties.)
In neighboring states, Kelly’s Roast Beef was named Massachusetts’ Best Regional Fast Food Restaurant (the North Shore sandwich brand is also looking to expand into Connecticut) and the New York winner was Xi’an Famous Foods, specializing in Western Chinese cuisine. In Rhode Island, the crown went to Olneyville system in New Yorka destination for hot weiners (“don’t say dogs, ever,” Food & Wine warned.)

Conceived by Kris Kowalsski Architects the proposal is for a local center, which includes a supermarket, food and beverage outlets, retail, childcare and a self-contained fast food outlet with drive-thru. A pedestrian arcade is planned along the retail and supermarket frontage with crosswalks to provide access to Laxton Road.

The site is within the Neighborhood Center area and Lower Oxley Creek South Neighborhood Plan. The site has road frontage to Ritchie Road and Laxton Drive. The vacant site is cleared of all vegetation and structures to accommodate the proposed shopping center.

I recently asked a friend if he wanted to go out for some tasty Filipino food. He said to me, “Of course I like chicken at Jollibee.”
The expression on my face was one of infinite sadness when he said that. For although Jollibee comes from the Philippines, it’s not specifically Filipino cuisine. Not even close. So, forgive me if I put on my culinary academic robe and give a little lecture:
For a very long time, the remarkably flavorful cuisine of the Philippines has been something of an outlier among the ethnic cuisines represented here in SoCal. Despite a large Filipino community — and an area just outside of downtown Los Angeles designated “Historic Filipinotown” — the food hasn’t had the culinary impact of the cuisine of, say, Thailand or Vietnam. . It has remained an exotic taste enjoyed by those who crave something… different. But he remained somewhat removed from the mainstream.
It is an education in world geography and colonial expansion to chew the foods of the Philippines. Filipino lumpia goes directly back to the Chinese spring roll, a dish brought to the Philippines by the many Chinese travelers who established trading posts in this chain of more than 7,000 islands. Pansit is a fried noodle dish much the same as the fried noodles found in any low-end Chinese restaurant.
From Spain there is asada, escabeche and torta – which is a type of sandwich in Spain and an omelet in the Philippines. There is more Spanish in the dishes than Chinese, and more Chinese than native Filipino. The most recent American influence on food comes down to the introduction of Coca-Cola to the islands, a boon of questionable value.
But Filipino cuisine is still…Filipino cuisine, notable for the taste of salt and umami in the pungent fish/shrimp paste called bagoong, and liquid fish seasoning patis. There is also a sourness due to the addition of vinegar, tamarind or lime-like calamansi. You will find plenty of garlic in Filipino dishes and added spices from a variety of dipping sauces – sawsawan.
We mainly eat the food from the northern Roman Catholic islands, rather than the pork-free Muslim south. But San Miguel Beer represents all the islands. What hasn’t traveled is a regional liquor called tuba, which is made from the fermented sap of the palm tree. One sip would be enough to bring the inexperienced snorkel drinker to their knees.
A great taste of the islands can be found at Kainan Sa Kanto, which is in a mini mall that is otherwise notable for a branch of Boot World next door. It’s a combination of a casual cafe, with a handful of tables and a deli, with staff that seem intrigued when a non-Filipino takes an interest in one of the many dishes on the steam table. Ask questions and they will offer you suggestions. That’s how I ended up happily chewing on pork crackers, while considering a selection of dishes – as far as I can tell, based on the deli menu (half dishes and full platters).
Daily combos are, of course, a great way to go, with a choice of chicken, pork, beef, seafood, soups, pansit, vegetables and ‘specialties’ as main courses, with sides ranging from simpler rice dishes (including fried rice), and even more noodle dishes (including “Filipino-style” spaghetti).
The spring rolls are perfectly crispy, the empanadas and lumpia are almost essential. I have a passion for barbecue pork. And I dream of one day ordering the lechon, a whole roast pig, which you have to ask for a week in advance. I would love to have it for Thanksgiving. Turkey is doing well. But a whole roast Filipino pig – pure heaven!
Until then, there’s the lumpia, filled with ground pork, carrots, celery, onions and garlic, served with a sweet and sour dip that could pass for a drink; along with the taste of pork, sweetness is an essential part of the diet. If available, I always get the kinilaw, in which the tuna is served in large cubes, tossed with lemon, rice vinegar, onions, ginger, and jalapeños, with rice balls. Inihaw may rhyme, but otherwise it’s barbecue chicken or pork skewers – basically satay, Filipino style.
Sinigang soup is a cold weather delight, a hot pot of pork or seafood (fish, mussels and prawns), flavored with tamarind, tossed with eggplant, green beans, tomatoes and mushrooms — a hearty soup ! Chicken or pork adobo is a staple dish cooked long and slow in vinegar, soy, garlic, and bay leaves. Sisig is minced pork belly, flavored with lemon, onion, garlic, ginger, jalapeño, cilantro – and topped with a fried egg, for all the goodness in it. There’s the kare kare beef stew, the fried fish escabeche (which I’ve always considered a poke that changed my mind and chose to be crispy!), and much more.
If they have it (buffet items tend to vary), try the pinoghetti – sweet Filipino-style spaghetti in banana sauce (!), with pork, cheese and (yes!) hot dogs. Fried chicken is… fried chicken. And very good fried chicken. (Take that, Jollibee!)
Do not miss the flan de leche for dessert. Or maybe the turon – a deep-fried wrapped banana roll glazed in caramel and chocolate, with vanilla ice cream. At this point in the meal, vanilla seems so…vanilla. But then it’s a tasty transition to the less interesting outside world. A lunch in the Philippines can leave you wondering where exactly you are, as you back down the street.

Fast food restaurant salaries have been in the news lately, with some states considering raising salaries for these employees. In Idaho, the average salary for an industry professional is less than $15 per hour.
If you want to know how hard the fast food workers work, walk down Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls during the lunch hour. We think that one on three Americans head to the drive-thru on a typical day, according to safetyandhealthmagazine.com.
One of the events I have had the privilege of attending in Twin Falls over the years has been the McCash School For Kids donation effort. When the event is scheduled, those of us at work who are assigned to a specific Magic Valley McDonald’s location spend a few hours streaming live and trying to collect cash donations. Money raised from each participating restaurant is used to help children in southern Idaho get school supplies.
I am still floored when I perform the task. I think there is a general misconception that this job is child’s play and that there is no good reason to pay these professionals anything above minimum wage. Indeed.com lists the average hourly wage from an Idaho fast food worker at $14.59. California policymakers are considering raise state wages to $22 an hour.
Not all of these Idaho employees are high schoolers working for their first job. Many of these employees are adults raising children and need to save every penny they earn to make ends meet.
Do you believe fast food workers in Idaho earn a living wage? Should we pay them more?
